Excellent customer service

Friends of mine and I enjoyed dinner here on a recent Sunday evening. The restaurant was well-patronized and staff were friendly. I ordered a salad and, for the entre, lamb. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked. This dinner was among the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time. Heartily recommended.

Great food, tasty desserts and very friendly service.

I live in the USA, and I come to the region of Untersee often. Hirschen is by far my favorite restaurant on the lake. Their cordon-bleu is the best you find anywhere - they have their own butcher shop and the meat is delicious. Same goes for the salads and all the other side dishes, and their selection of local wines is extensive and very very good. The setting is marvelous. There is a wonderful garden under a gigantic tree right by the lakeshore, and their indoor space is a charming room with low ceiling and a cosy atmosphere. The waitstaff is friendly and knowledgable, and the owner of the restaurant, who seems to be ever-present, speaks excellent English and one can have interesting and insightful conversation with him. Overall, this is a great restaurant, and I'll keep returning whenever I can.

Very good food with fast and friendly service. Two menus with salad or soup for under 30 CHF, large portions. Outdoor area close (unfortunately not directly) to the lake. We were very satisfied, would be happy to come back :-)!

Selection of expertly cooked meat cuts, fresh from the partnering butcher, as well as fish freshly caught from the lake. Friendly staff and reasonable pricing, frequently visited by locals.

The fish, meat and salads were all really delicious!
